After almost 3 years, Pete Wentz and Asslee Simpson head down the road to splitsville.
We all saw this coming.
The real question is, who will make a better Baloo for Mowgli?
"Technically they were never married, because she lipsynced her vows."

Jan 8; home away from home
Day 3
When I saw home away from home, I mean Canada is cold and so is the place I'm currently staying in.
It was a long night in the car and the ride was longer than expected because it was dark outside and there were no streetlights. To top it off, the thick and heavy fog didn't help the situation. The fog was like nothing I've seen before, like I could only see about 3 metres in front of me. It was pretty bad.... But when it did clear up I saw tons of trucks carrying sugar cane and people riding their bike to "work".
Above is a picture of a truck with a message. Look at the encouragement.

Below is a picture of a truck going the wrong way on a narrow lane. Catastrophe. Peeping in the picture is a cyclist who finds space to fit in. This is what I mean when drivers are insane.

Jan 7; Back on the road - or air
Day 2
Flight: Mumbai to Lucknow
The goal for today was to travel to a little place near Gorakhpur. Little did I know the road trip from Lucknow, where the airport is, to Gorakhpur, where my home is, is 6 freakn hours.
I got to ride on one of these nifty things. Believe me when I say this is the best way to get around town. Believe me when I say drivers are absolutely insane. Believe me when I say there are no road rules - if there's space then go for it; if someone's in your way then honk till your heart's content; if you want to go north on a southbound lane be my guest. Noone's stopping you.
This was my first touristy place of my trip. As I was walking around one little kid approached me and asked for money. Another few followed and the next thing I knew I was swarmed with kids. Not fun.
Locals buy their food fresh every single day. They shop in the evening after work so you can imagine how crowded it must have been.
After a day of looking around, the six hour drive begins.

Day 1
Damn you weak immune system and mosquitoes!
Damn you weak immune system and mosquitoes!
Yes, on the first day, the very first day – I got sick. awh fck me.
On top of that, I was hoping for a nice warm shower but there’s no proper bath tub or shower. It’s just an empty space in the wash room with a sink, toilet, and facet. I miss technology. And my bed. And winter (did I just say that?)
I feel like I’m not physically cut out for this. I hope it changes soon. It’s just the beginning and I’ve got plenty more time to explore. As I try to regain my energy and recuperate, I’ll try to catch up on my readings. (boo)
If anyone knows how to build a strong immune system, please let me know.

Jan 4-5; Arrivals and Departures
Flight 1: Canada to Germany
I haven’t been on a plane since I was 3, so I was super excited about the plane ride. I could tell you that the excitement wore off pretty fast. Now I understand when people say plane food sucks and ear popping hurts. I realized that I need to board 6 planes throughout my entire trip. Ouch.
Sitting behind me were some young Germans boys who sang. I was wrong to assume this be a music depriving trip. The boys sang different tunes including Duck Sauce’s Barbra Streisand , which I thought was pretty entertaining.
Stopover: Frankfurt
Got some food from McDonald’s, which I’m really not a fan of, but I was strangely mildly attracted to it. Maybe because it was foreign.
Strange Job Sighting: As I was putting my tray away there was an employee standing in this little garbage corner, taking peoples trays, cleaning the trays and putting it away. That's ALL he did. What kind of job is that ?!? (a really easy one)
Food and Drinks: Nestea Iced Tea tastes different. It actually tastes like iced tea.
Fact: Beer is cheaper than water. Oh you Germans : )
Flight 2: Germany to India
I met some interesting people on my way, a Canadian fellow going to an ashram and a Belgium man on a business trip to discuss soya products.
Destination: Mumbai
There’s so much security guards strutting their stuff: camo attire, sergant hats, geared with riffles. I wanted to take a picture but I was scared they might shoot me or something.
Let the culture shock begin! (with honking vehicles)

007; I see/k improvement
My study habits need to improve.
I have 2 tests, a paper, and tons of readings to catch up on so I need to hustle. ahh, oiajfioS:NBgsdgf // Coming back from India has definitely worn me out. I'll say some stuff about that later.
Bring Me The Horizon has improved.
In 2006, I used to think they were an untalented shit band with a front man with really nice hair with a lot of annoying fans.
In 2011,they've got the annoying fans and nice hair, but more importantly they've grown as a band. Their songs don't seem so scattered and they've even got Canadian cutie Lights in on one of their new tracks, Don't Go. However, I don't think I'll ever be a fan of the band. Perhaps a guilty pleasure if anything.
A Day To Remember does not need to improve.
I just saw the music video for All I Want. Love itttttttttttt. I love anything with cameos. Pete fckn Wentz. haha......

006; Execution Resolution
A new year's resolution is a commitment one makes, usually in hopes to improve the quality of living for the individual. Sure it's easy to think of dozens of things you want to improve on, but it's the actual fulfillment process that is kind of challenging. How many times have you heard someone say "I want to lose weight" and how many times have you heard them say "let's go to a buffet." Really now, if you followed through with the resolution the first time, you wouldn't have to repeat the resolution a second, third, or fourth time now would you? Maybe what people need to do is commit to staying committed.
As for me, I can't remember my previous resolutions. Maybe something to do with good grades or being happy. I don't know. This year I got with the program. I settled on something that I actually want to improve on.
My new year's resolution is to stop pro....crastinating. What's yours?
Time to hit refresh.
Happy New Year,
Angel
